Robotics Coaches Training (Sept. 17, 2011)
On Saturday, September 17th, members of theSHPE Cincinnati Board, participated in basicrobotics training for coaches.
SHPE Cincinnati is starting two Robotics Clubs for young Hispanics: one in the Lakota's Hopwell Junior High, and one at AMIS (Academy of Multilingual Immersion Studies). This is part of creating a K-12 outreach partnership with local school district officials in order to continue building a pipeline for local Hispanic engineers. It is one of SHPE Cincinnati’s initiatives to identify and sponsor groups of kids through iSPACE FIRST Lego League (Robotics Clubs). For this year, our goal is to have first three Hispanic student teams participatingin a Robotics competition.
We are looking for volunteers to be mentors and coaches. Please contact us if you would like to help (click here)
