Posted by admin on 2015/3/9 9:40:00 (3491 reads)

Noche/Día de Ciencias - Science Nights – is a national program to promote knowledge and interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) among the Hispanic community.

This year, we'll celebrate the International Pi Day, which in 2015 is the "Ultimate Pi Day" because it will happen only once in a life time!!! It's a true "Pi Day of the Century"!!

We appreciate the support, help, and hospitality of the Cincinnati Museum Center in organizing this event, and the support from GE Aviation, Duke Energy, and Luxottica!!!

We also appreciate the support and help from RRight Now Communications, LLC

The goal of Dia de Ciencias is to bring awareness to K-12 students and parents to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), college opportunities, scholarship information, and resources . The event is a 3 to 4 hour event where students will be engaged in fun STEM hand-oh activities while parent are engage in workshops that introduce them to STEM and provide them awareness about college, and information about financial aid.

Who is our audience? Latino students in high school and middle school, and their parents.

Number of students and parents we are attempting to invite? 100
